As part of its campaign, “This is my story, I am still human”, the Universal Coalition of Affirming Africans (UCAA) has launched this interview with Pastress Aggie from Uganda.

Pastress Aggie is a transgender woman. When Aggie came out, she was imprisoned and fell apart with her parents. She realised, however, that "No matter how the whole world hates me, God still loves me". She currently serves as a pastor with TAYCOF (Talented Youth Community Fellowship Uganda), an inclusive faith based ministry led by transgender women open to all queer communities to connect to God.

Pastress Aggie is now calling upon parents of transgender people to hold their children as a treasure because they are special gifts and human as other people. She is also calling upon religious leaders to act on the message of love that they preach. Please watch her interview here:
